Gouache on Paper 17 x 24 cms

Monday.  I began to work with the painting by Filippo Lippi, the intention was to abstract the face in black and white but paint the rest representationally in colour.  I got carried away and abstracted the whole thing.  Starting with a figurative image seems to lead to more surprising decisions.
